| Happy New Year 2010
from the Philippines! It seems so strange to say 2010, I guess reality hasn't hit yet that 2009 has ended. So many things have happened in the Wilson household this past year as I am sure in your homes you have many memories as well for 2009. We look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us here in the Philippines in this new year of 2010. Paul and I
have been doing a lot of traveling since our visitors left in November. We
spent several days in Palawan visiting the church work there. They are
excited about the new building plan developing for Christ the Center Church.
I had a time of sharing with them (as well as another church earlier) how to
use the curriculum in their Sunday School from College Press. We had an
enjoyable time and I actually felt my voice leaving from talking too much!!! In His Service, |

Hello everyone! |

Subject: Hello from Mary:) Greetings to you from the Philippines! Earlier today I was looking at facebook pictures showing the snow already falling in several areas. We are hot, mostly dry, and running the air conditioner to keep cool! What a difference… We are constantly reminded of the Christmas season (without snow) by the Christmas trees and decorations already displayed in offices, restaurants, and shopping malls. Paul and I have greatly enjoyed our time with Dan Wilson and Tracy Morris. We wish we could keep them a little longer…but I think they are missing home now and will be ready for the long airplane ride on Tuesday. Paul and two other pastors have been traveling with them today to visit some final churches. They have attended 2 weddings, a men’s retreat, visited several schools, spoke in many churches and pastor/wife gatherings, fed new food items (lots of rice), experienced the traffic coming and going, some “down time” at the beach, and encouraged many Filipino’s by their words, gifts, and kindness. Many lives have been touched by Dan and Tracy! Paul has been excited to see a little improvement in lifting his injured foot. Please keep praying for him and a full recovery. He is encouraged by this change and hopes to have further testing done in November. We will be flying on Sunday afternoon with Dan and Tracy to Manila. Sunday also happens to be “All Saints Day” so many people will be making journeys to the cemeteries to visit family and honor the dead by offering prayers, food, and crying for the loved ones. It is also a time of family reunions. I will be flying back to Dumaguete on Tuesday after the guys fly home to the states. Paul will be flying also that day to another part of the Philippines to visit churches and attend one more wedding in Suriago on Saturday. He will be gone almost a week. Keep him in your prayers. We are happy for the bodega God provided for us to rent in storage of the books and Sunday School curriculums. We have all the textbooks organized and College Press materials sorted for distribution. We have already started giving away many items. I have 60+ boxes waiting to go out to the Island of Cebu to be used in many public schools in need of textbooks. Thank you so much for collecting the books and school supplies for the Philippines. A special thanks to each and everyone who donated items for the Philippines! You are a blessing to many teachers, students, and schools! In His Service, Mary Wilson |

| September 29, 2009 Hello everyone! Paul and I are doing fine. The typhoon was centered in the Manila area mostly and we were only receiving rain on this part of the Philippines. You will see lots of disaster areas on internet and newspapers for the Manila/Luzon area with flooding and loss of homes and material things. They were hit very hard. Very sad. Please continue to pray for us in the final stages (we hope) of getting the container released out of customs. Paul went to Cebu today to "oversee" and help the lady working with us for the release. Paperwork can be overwhelming and time doesn't seem to be a factor here. We will have to unload the container when it is released and then rent trucks to bring it to our part of the island. The port in Cebu is approximately a 3 hour drive to the area where it will then board the cargo ships to come to Dumaguete. We have a bodega rented now to store everything and sort out to distribute to schools and churches. Thank you! |

19 Jun 2008 8:49 am Subject: Palawan Dear John, Mary and I just returned from visiting at Puerto Princesa, Palawan for the building dedication for the church. The land is at a busy corner lot in a subdivision, a wonderful location for a church. They have had several baptisms there and have several more individuals that will be making decisions soon. Thank you from the Palawan church to the Christ's Church of Yukon for buying the land on a distant island of the Philippines. The building was constructed with one side for a parsonage and the other side is open where the church has their meeting area. A small kitchen and restrooms are located at the back portion. We saved a space at the front of the property for their permanent church building in the future. Please share these pictures with your congregation and thank them for their generous gift for the church here in the Philippines. We hope to start many other churches on Palawan in the future, and this location in the capital city will be not only a city church, but a camp site and a place for leadership training. In His service, |
