I want to let you know how excited I am to welcome Ron and Jenny Rasmussen to Yukon, and specifically Christ’s Church of Yukon! These last seven months without a Senior Pastor have been "stretching" in many ways – for the church family as a whole, and for me personally as well. May we remember that in times of testing, which we all have, it seems that God tends to grow us the most.

A friend of mine shared this passage from the Psalms with me a couple of years ago…I pray it encourages you as it did me: "For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver…we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance." Psalm 66:10-12

I have several dear friends right now that are in the middle of a "testing." Perhaps you are too. Be reassured that our God is not unaware, and be reminded of how much He loves you. And just as God has a "next chapter" in store for us as a church family, He has one for you as well.

I am convinced that some of the best days of CCY are ahead of us, knowing God will use Ron and Jenny in some incredible ways here. I am looking forward to the "next chapter" that God has in store for us!
