VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2010 is just a few short days away and all of the final plans and preparations are well underway. Could I ask you to do something for me? At this point, I’m not asking for helpers, teachers, cookie bakers or decorators, but I’m asking for another type of help.

Today, would you begin praying for the young people that God will send our way? For His mighty presence to be real in the lives of each young person who enters our doors? That children who have never met Jesus will come here and learn about Him? That through our efforts, these children will grow and learn something they never knew before?

Jesus wants to touch our children’s lives. He does not want them to be hindered from coming to Him. We know the value of every precious human life. These children are people of destiny and purpose. This coming week, we are teaching children what faith is, and training them to trust God so that when they get older they won’t doubt God’s promises.

Why is VBS important? It is here that many children come to know Christ. Unchurched families in our city may not attend our church, but they may send their children to Bible School to hear the great lessons inside "the Word."

According to research, over half (58%) of all Americans who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior do so before reaching the age of 13. I believe that children are possibly the most important blessings God gives. The value God places on each child cannot be measured. Great fun awaits us in just a few days. Bring all the young people you know and let’s fill CCY with loud sounds of worship, laughter and learning!
