What is the difference between "Tithe" and "Offering"
TITHE - God calls each of us to give 10% of our "first fruits" to the "storehouse"...to the church we've been called to serve. Our tithes help to create the quality environment, ministries, and discipleship tools we all enjoy.
OFFERING - Occasionally, God calls us to make sacrificial offerings above our tithe. These offerings are usually designated to a specific capital steward campaign, ministry, or outreach, or perhaps to help meet the needs of a specific person. In addition to those needs being met, your obedient generosity many times also increases the faith of the recipient!
WAYS TO GIVE
A little about why you might choose to give online:
It's Simple - You won't have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you're on vacation.
Security - We use an encrypted secure website for your online records. Online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift can't be lost or stolen.
Focus - Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out an envelope during the service, you can be fully focused on the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.
Text Giving Now Available
Text the dollar amount you wish to give to:
The first time you give by text you will be sent a link to fill out a short form to get you set up, after that it's as simple as sending a text.
Perhaps the most familiar way to give a tithe or offering is during a worship service. Using an envelope is not necessary, but if you prefer it, feel free to take one of the secure giving envelopes found on the worship center chair backs.
