We are awfully close to kicking off Mission OKC 2021!  For those who have not been able to participate in the past, it is an opportunity for us, Christ's followers, to directly engage with the community around us. Christ calls us to love others, and we must understand that we have been put in this place and time to do just that.

This year, the focus is "Mission, Service, Prayer", and we will be participating in three different areas. On Monday, we will serve alongside and learn about Beautiful Feet Ministries in Choctaw. This ministry specializes in mobilizing, training, and sending Christians into areas of the world that still need to hear the Gospel. We will serve around their camp in a variety of ways, while also taking time to hear about the mission and goal of this local ministry impacting the whole world.

On Tuesday, we will serve one of our very own families impacted by the winter storms. We will help to clear the debris and clean up from the devastation of the storm. Tuesday night, we will share a special dinner with a focus on the last supper of Jesus. Time will be spent together in fellowship, worship, and the Word as we remember and focus on the ultimate service and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.

On Wednesday, we will wrap up the week with a visit to Joe's Addiction...not your average coffee shop. Joe's Addiction is a space created for all in the population, including the poor and marginalized, to come together in community to share in faith. We will spend time serving in the local parks around the location, praying and providing water and snacks for those we encounter.

We would love for you to join us! The cost is $20 to cover food, but don't let the cost prevent you from attending. Just talk to Chris! We will meet Sunday night, June 6th, at the Gym. Please bring sleeping bag, pillow (air mattress optional), comfortable and modest clothing, a water bottle, work gloves, overnight items for three nights, a Bible, and most importantly an attitude to serve the Lord and others!

If you have questions, please call Chris at the church, 405-354-0245, or on his cell, 316-300-9934.
