Missions at CCY

MISSIONS

At Christ's Church of Yukon, we believe the church is called to make disciples of all nations. That's why we are passionate about supporting Christian missions both locally and globally. Through prayer, giving, and service, we partner with faithful individuals and organizations who are sharing the gospel and transforming lives around the world. A minimum of 10% of CCY's budget goes to outreach.

Our Mission Partners

We support the following missionaries who are doing incredible work across the globe. Learn more about their ministries and how you can get involved.

🌍 Paul & Mary Wilson – Philippines

Paul and Mary Wilson serve as missionaries in the Philippines, focusing on church planting, leadership training, and community development. Their work brings hope to rural communities and empowers local pastors to grow thriving congregations.

🇮🇳 Dan and Laly Haffner – India

Dan and Laly lead India Christian Ministries. We have been ministering in India for over 40 years, from theology training and church planting to meeting the needs of the marginalized Tribal, untouchable, and other suppressed and oppressed groups. Theology training. Christian education. Preaching Jesus. Feeding the Poor. Helping the Sick and Disadvantaged. Ministering to Widows and those in Nursing Homes. Planting churches. Teaching Children. GIVING HOPE.

🇲🇲 🇹🇭 Jerry & Boonporn Thaprom – Myanmar (Burma) & Thailand

Jerry and Boonporn Thaprom serve Christ faithfully across Myanmar and Thailand, focusing on Bible translation, church planting, evangelism, and compassion ministries. Jerry was instrumental in translating the Old Testament into the Rvwang language and led the Bible revision project completed in 2009. Together, they helped establish multiple churches in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and continue to support over 300 Rvwang believers in the region.

In Yangon, Myanmar, they support five evangelist families working across four townships, ministering to 150 Burmese families—many of whom are recent converts from Buddhism and are experiencing extreme poverty. Monthly food distributions and discipleship are key parts of their outreach.

The Thaproms also care for orphans through two children's homes - one in Chiang Mai and one in Lake Chaung village near Yangon, and lead Mercy Home, a ministry that provides shelter and spiritual care for Karen villagers receiving medical treatment in Chiang Mai. Mercy Home also hosts a weekly worship service, where several have come to faith in Christ.

Looking ahead, they hope to reach the Ganeung Rvwang people in Arunachal Pradesh, India, a distant branch of the Rvwang tribe who have lost their native language and remain unreached by the gospel. The Thaproms continue their mission work independently, fueled by faith, prayer, and the generosity of supporters like CCY.

🇬🇹 Morning Glory Christian Academy – Guatemala

Located in San Raymundo, Guatemala, Morning Glory Christian Academy provides quality Christian education to children from preschool through high school. The academy offers a safe space for students to grow in knowledge, faith, and character. Every four years, CCY takes a group on a mission trip to Guatemala.

SAVE THE DATE! Next mission trip to Guatemala will be May 31- June 7th

Kingdom Churches

From 2002 to 2016, Christ's Church of Yukon committed to building a church facility in a developing country each year — a bold vision we called "15 Churches in 15 Years." By God's grace and through the generosity of our church family, this goal was fully accomplished. Over that time, CCY gave an average of $25,000 to $30,000 annually above our regular missions giving, helping plant 15 church buildings that continue to serve communities around the world.

LOCAL MISSIONS

In addition to our global mission partners, CCY actively supports local outreach in the Yukon community through ministries like:

Benevolence Ministry – Help in Times of Need

Matthew 25:35; James 1:27 - Acts of kindness that represent Jesus; true religion is caring for the distressed.

At Christ's Church of Yukon, we are committed to loving God and loving people and that includes walking alongside those facing unexpected financial hardships. Our Benevolence Ministry exists to provide short-term assistance to individuals or families in our church who are struggling to meet basic needs such as food, utilities, rent, or other essentials. Each request is prayerfully and confidentially considered by our benevolence team. If you or someone you know is in need, we invite you to reach out.

How to Request Help:
